October 1st's meeting was a slightly different format, where pressing issues were addressed first, followed by a brainstorming of service opportunities and projects. Please click on the story for a brief narrative and read the minutes for ideas discussed.
October 1st's meeting held a brainstorming session for service ideas for the Club. Community Service Chair Michele Hohlfeld came prepared with handouts of past projects since 2019 and our yearly grant projects. Also included was a list of proposed activities that never got any traction/volunteers.
This meeting was a great way for everything to share ideas and brainstorm. Similar to our discussions that every Rotary Member is on the Membership Committee for recruiting, every Member should feel comfortable and willing to bring new community service projects to the table.
At the meeting, a variety of topics were discussed. A few members stepped up to research new projects and possible grant ideas. When you review the meeting minutes, please consider researching one of the ideas presented if it speaks to you, or research something else to share with Michele and the club.
Big ideas mentioned were that our Club likes to collaborate with other local organizations and that we seek to fill specific needs in the community.
