Bring yourself and any kids/additional people that want to help plant! If you have any gardening tools for planting, feel free to bring, but some will be available.

We hope to have as many members as possible attend this meeting, input from all members from charter members to new members and all those in between is important for the future of our club. If you can attend, please come up with some ideas for the 5 points below, you can either come prepared with your ideas or send them to Cathy before the meeting so she can start working on putting stuff together. Even if it is something you think may be fitting for the club or something you would like to see the club do but, do not know how much interest there would be, still bring it up for discussion. The only bad ideas are no ideas.

This meeting (and possibly the next) we will be continuing with Cathy's 10/2 Meeting conversation of: 

Reflect on the prior year:

1) things that you want more of

2) less of

3) things to start

4) things to stop

5) things to keep

As it does in all service clubs, membership has changed over the past few years as well as our member's personal/professional lives/commitments and we need to see what directions work best for the Club and our members.

This will also help us start Strategic Planning again while focusing on how to get our existing members more involved, member retention as well as how we can attract new members to our club.

We will also start discussing elections for the next Rotary year (25/26) and start discussing a succession plan beyond that year. The positions available for 25/26 will be Treasurer & Secretary. While the Vice President position will not be available until the 26/27 year, it is important to have a succession plan, if you think you may be interested in an executive position, please let Bob or Cathy know. The 26/27 Vice President would not have their first President term until the 2029/2030 Rotary Year.

The food for this meeting will be the buffet style apps.

While we have service projects coming up this year yet, other than our Club Christmas Party on 12/11, this will be our last meeting of 2024. 

Reminder to register by this Wednesday evening and if you register and do not attend, payment is still due to cover the count given to the restaurant.

Rotary will again be sponsoring the December First Monday Meal.  Volunteers are needed to prepare and serve the meal.  This is a fun event and we hope you can sign up for an hour or two.  We'll be serving ham, green beans, potato casserole and cake. 

Wear a hat (or you'll need to wear an ugly hairnet)!

Rotary will selling our fundraiser cookbooks again this year at the UPSD Holiday Bazaar.  Please consider joining us for an hour or two  to help staff our table.  This is a fun event and another opportunity to get some  exposure for our club and of course to raise some funds.   Thanks in advance for your help.

Where:  Upper Perkiomen Middle School, 901 Montgomery Ave. in Pennsburg 

When:   December 7^th from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM.

Shifts:  Would like at least 1 volunteer for each shift, 9-10, 10-11, 11-12, 12-1, 1-2 and 2-3.

Rotary will be participating in the UPV Tree Lighting Event.  We'll be selling our fundraiser cookbooks and will have a free craft for kids.  Please consider joining us for an hour or two  to help staff our table.  This is a really fun event and a great opportunity to get some  exposure for our club.   Also, the event is outdoors so dress accordingly.  Thanks in advance for your help.

Please mark your calendars and plan to join your fellow Rotarians at our Club's Annual Christmas Party. Please note that this is the SECOND Wednesday of the month, not the 1st of 3rd as we have been meeting. This was decided at our 10/2 meeting based on multiple members who usually attend not being available on the 1st and/or 3rd Wednesday.

Please RSVP by Sunday Evening 12/1 so we know how we need to setup for the party.

All Rotarians, family members and even friends are invited to join us for this evening.

As voted on at meeting, the party will once again be held at Valley Lock & Door.

Liz will be joining us once again to serve up drinks for everyone (don't forget cash for tips), please feel free to bring any special wine/liquor/beer that you would like to have or share with the club.

We are changing it up a bit for the food this year and will have Chino's Food Truck parked right out front ready to serve food up to everyone, your cost to attend will be determined by the food you order from the truck (menu in images below).

We are planning to have potluck desserts. Not everyone has to bring desserts, however, I know some of you love to bake. We can discuss that as it gets a little closer.

It's that time of year again! We are signed up to help with Toys for Tots sorting and selecting. Please feel free to sign up for multiple shifts/days. To simplify things, I have created a single event to cover both days of work, there are no times for Friday 12/20.

We are starting off the New Year trying out a New Meeting Location!

This meeting will mainly be a business meeting as we have not had one in a few months. We will be recapping events/services/projects of the past few months and discuss upcoming events/projects/ideas for 2025 including the 4-Way Test Speech Contest which will be the following meeting. We have 4 students so far committed and Angela is working on trying to get 2 more. If able to attend, we may also officially induct our two newest members to the club. We also need to work on wrapping up our elections for the 25/26 Rotary Year (Secretary and Treasurer). 

The cost of this meeting will be what you order from the menu, and they understand some people may not order food every week. Whether you plan to eat or not, please RSVP by Sunday January 12th so we can give Tosco's a count. Being that this was the potential snow date for the contest, we have not planned any agenda for the meeting yet other than elections. We will use some the meeting to focus on committee needs such as the 4th of July and anything else that may be coming up for any of the committees. The prior day, Leanne and I will be attending the 2nd meeting for the 250th Celebration and we may have some updates to share from that. Cathy and I will discuss if there is something else we would like to work on.

This is a regular business meeting.

With several of us going to the District Conference the first weekend in April (some of us having to be there Thursday already) coupled with having multiple other Rotary events in April, we decided at the last meeting to not have a regular club meeting on April 2nd. In lieu of that meeting, please join us on Zoom for a Fundraising Meeting. We will discuss the upcoming 4th of July as well as the Golf Outing and potentially some other fundraising ideas/events.
