We are starting off the New Year trying out a New Meeting Location!

This meeting will mainly be a business meeting as we have not had one in a few months. We will be recapping events/services/projects of the past few months and discuss upcoming events/projects/ideas for 2025 including the 4-Way Test Speech Contest which will be the following meeting. We have 4 students so far committed and Angela is working on trying to get 2 more. If able to attend, we may also officially induct our two newest members to the club. We also need to work on wrapping up our elections for the 25/26 Rotary Year (Secretary and Treasurer). 

The cost of this meeting will be what you order from the menu, and they understand some people may not order food every week. Whether you plan to eat or not, please RSVP by Sunday January 12th so we can give Tosco's a count. If you are not familiar with the building, here is how you get to the 2nd floor:

-From the Rear Bar Entrance - walk through the bar, turn left into the dining room, turn left again towards the kitchen window, when you get to the kitchen window, the stairs are on your left.

-From the Front Entrance - turn right into the dining room, left towards the kitchen window, when you get to the kitchen window, the stairs are on your left.

Being that this was the potential snow date for the contest, we have not planned any agenda for the meeting yet other than elections. We will use some the meeting to focus on committee needs such as the 4th of July and anything else that may be coming up for any of the committees. The prior day, Leanne and I will be attending the 2nd meeting for the 250th Celebration and we may have some updates to share from that. Cathy and I will discuss if there is something else we would like to work on.

This is a regular business meeting.

With several of us going to the District Conference the first weekend in April (some of us having to be there Thursday already) coupled with having multiple other Rotary events in April, we decided at the last meeting to not have a regular club meeting on April 2nd. In lieu of that meeting, please join us on Zoom for a Fundraising Meeting. We will discuss the upcoming 4th of July as well as the Golf Outing and potentially some other fundraising ideas/events.

Gloves and bags will be provided. Come with bug spray and clothes to get a little dirty as we clean up our section of 663. Meet at St. Philip Neri Church.

Feel free to bring friends or students who need volunteer hours! The more hands, the quicker it goes! We've been getting done in less than 2 hours.

More information to be posted as it gets closer, but put it on your calendar to help clean up the shelter which has served many local people during this cold winter!

Time to meet and greet the community at the May First Friday event! The event is on Friday, May 2, 2025, 5:30-8:00 PM and we'll be setting up at 5:00 PM.  Nothing to do but sign up and show up and be ready to talk to folks stopping by our table and helping kids with an easy craft. This is always a fun event, please consider signing up for an hour or two.  Thanks!

Join us for our Annual Joint Happy Hour with the Upper Perk Chamber of Commerce. Also invited to this year's Joint Happy Hour will be members of Perkasie and Harleysville Rotary Clubs.

First Friday on 6/6

I would like to start off by thanking Scott & Leanne Engle for offering to facilitate this year's changeover meeting. In the event of inclement weather, the meeting will be relocated to Valley Lock & Door, 26 E 4th St., East Greenville.

Please plan to join us for our Annual Changeover Meeting in a relaxing atmosphere picnic style, and our first true changeover in a few years (dress to be comfortable). The meeting will opened up with a brief recap by 22-25 President (Bob McCarty) followed up with induction of our 25/26 President/PE (Cathy Fitzgerald), 25/26 Secretary (Jen McCarty), Vice President (incumbent Dan Rhoads) & 25/26 Treasurer (incumbent Steve Hill) as well as acknowledgement of our 25/26 Committee Chairpersons. When all is done for the evening, 25/26 President Cathy Fitzgerald will bring the meeting to a close with the traditional ringing of the bell.

Scott & Leanne will be providing Burgers & Hot Dogs and everyone is encouraged to sign up to bring a side or dessert (someone please make deviled eggs for Cathy lol).  This will be our last meeting of the 24/25 Rotary Year and our last official club meeting prior to the Hometown 4th of July Celebration. Let's join together in friendship and fellowship while we celebrate this past Rotary Year's accomplishments, and kick off what promises to be a great future for the Rotary Club of Upper Perk moving into the 25/26 Rotary Year.

Please RSVP whether you are attending or not for this event regardless of the time of day you may be available. If you have spouse/family/friend that can help, please sign them up as well. As we discuss what we are going to do for the day and as it gets closer, I will put together a schedule signup and send it out. At this point, I am just trying to see how many people we will have to help that day so we can discuss specifics at the meetings (first of which is this Wednesday evening on Zoom). 

One item we need to decide on is the breakfast option. Last year we had Doughlicious there selling items and had the food truck add some breakfast sandwiches. Both did well and that was going to be the plan again this year. However, as many of you may know, Doughlicious decided to close up a few months ago so that option is now off the table.
