Hello Upper Perk Rotarians, As of this minute, we are still moving forward with the roof tear off this Thursday at 3pm. Please RSVP if you are able to help or not so we know how many people we have. Again, please feel free to bring spouses/family/friends/etc. that could get on the roof and help tear it off. The more people we have the faster it will go. I just spoke with the contractor and we will make the final decision tomorrow around lunch if we are moving forward or postponing due to the forecast. The forecast is changing by the minute but for the most part, it is improving. Thank you! Bob |

All hands on deck for our big fundraiser and community event! Help will be needed on 7/3 for setup of multiple items and on 7/5 for breakdown, mainly of the fireworks perimeter and anything that did not get finished the evening of 7/4. If you are available to help setup on 7/3 please send me an email, I do not want to send too many event invites out at one time. Help will be needed with items such as: Setting up the parking lot perimeter; Setting up the Fireworks Launch Area safety perimeter; picking up the Ice Cream from Hometown Creamery; pre-scooping the Ice Cream; Getting the Concession Stand stocked and staged; and more. For 7/4 time slots, please register through this event AND on the Sign Up Genius: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0545abae23abfa7-4thofjuly#/ Help is needed throughout the entire day, please consider signing up for more than one time slot if you are available. Please feel free to also register any friends and family that would be able to help as well. I know this is a holiday and it is a long day, the funds from this event are what keep our club moving forward and able to complete the projects we do as well as new ones that will come about. This is also great exposure in the community for our club and the community appreciates us keeping this long-time tradition alive. The more help we have, the easier the day will go for everyone. Steve Hill and I will arrive at the park as early as 6am to open up and start setting stuff up, you are welcome to join us earlier than the first time slot on Sign Up Genius if you are available. Thank you all in advance. The forecast for the day keeps improving and I look forward to another successful Hometown 4th of July Celebration! |

Good Morning Rotarians, This week's meeting was originally going to be a Potluck meeting, however I know of a handful of us who were recently exposed to Covid from multiple sources. While we are all clear still, I feel it is best that we just do this meeting on Zoom to not risk spreading it. Chances are, if any of us who were exposed end up getting it, we'll most likely have it by then. Please register to this invitation if you are able to attend so we know who all to expect. Sep 20, 2023 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM
We will have some Pizzas and Caesar Salad for the evening, if anybody would like somthing other than that and would like to bring their own food, please feel free to. This week's meeting we will be focusing mainly on Strategic Planning, picking up where we left off a few months ago. Strategic Planning is very important to our club and input from all members is welcome and essential. If you have anything not related to Strategic Planning to share with the club that isn't pressing (especially committee chairs), please send the info to Sarah Toback so she can include it in the bulletin. We will start the meeting off as usual and quickly cover any information that needs to be discussed prior to our next meeting. Once we get through that (which should be brief), I will turn it over to PE Jess Harrington to continue facilitating the Strategic Planning. At some point of the night (if time permits), we will unbox the Little Free Libraries that we purchased through our District Grant, we need to work on setting up installation of these. I have notified Pennsburg Borough that the one for the Tot Lot is here. It appears that a post hole digger will be needed for installation. Just a reminder, there will be NO meeting on Wednesday October 1st as Jen and I will be away. If any members would like to get together for some small project/meeting (pavilion painting/committee meeting/etc.) that would be great. October has 5 Wednesdays, we may look to add something for 10/29 which we can discuss at the meeting. The 10/18 meeting will be a "Youth Evening" with Souderton's Exchange Student, Boy Scouts from Troop 108, and hopefully our other STEM YEA participant and Camp Neidig students. |
